Martin Stránský (born 11 February 1970 in Jihlava) is a Czech actor, voice actor and one of the country’s most prominent audiobook narrators. He studied at the DAMU theatre school in Prague and has been a long-time member of the Divadlo Josefa Kajetána Tyla in Plzeň, where he has played dozens of varied roles on stage. Stránský gained wider recognition on television for his role as doctor Ota Kovář in Ordinace v růžové zahradě and through his work in dubbing — notably earning the František Filipovský Award for voicing Hugh Laurie in Dr. House. In addition to acting, he is highly regarded for his audiobook work, narrating major titles such as Milénium and other crime and thriller series, and in 2014 received a special award from the Association of Audiobook Publishers for his significant contribution to the medium.
