《特种部队》是美国孩之宝公司制作，Jay Bacal、Ray Lee、Dan Thompson等执导，Jackson Beck、Christopher Collins、Michael Bell等配音的动画剧集，该剧85集，主要角色有霍克将军、公爵、眼镜蛇指挥官、迪斯特罗、红发女郎、南爵夫人等，于1985年9月16日在美国播出 G.I.JOE是美国特训特种敢死队的代号，该队组建的目的是维护人类的自由与安全。他们的对手——眼镜蛇部队，是一个妄图统治世界的残忍的恐怖组织，特种部队，真正的美国英雄。1983年，先推出了以5集为一单元的系列TV动画"The M.A.S.S Device" ，后又在1984年推出了另一5集单元的TV动画"The Revenge of Cobra". （眼镜蛇复仇记），都取得了相当的成功。在取得满意的反馈后，G.I.Joe电视动画系列化正式开始了
