Neil Fletcher (1904-1988) Neil Fletcher was an American actor, born on July 31, 1904, in Denton, Texas. Though his filmography primarily consists of roles in "B" movies, he left a distinct mark on the genre, appearing in cult classics such as "In the Year 2889" (1969), "Beyond the Time Barrier" (1960), "Creature of Destruction" (1968), and "Deadly Blessing" (1981), where he played a gravedigger. Before his career in film, Fletcher was a vaudeville performer and a member of the Madcap Players. He also worked extensively in radio, showcasing his versatile talent. Beyond acting, he is perhaps equally well-known as the co-founder, alongside his brother Carl, of Fletcher's Original State Fair Corny Dogs, a beloved and iconic food vendor at the State Fair of Texas. Fletcher was married to Minerva May Baker. He passed away on December 20, 1988, in Dallas, Texas, after a battle with cancer.
