Ahmed Mohamed, professionally known as Basyo, is an Egyptian filmmaker, writer, performer, and co-founder of Still Learning Films, an independent filmmaking collective dedicated to emotionally driven storytelling and visually distinctive cinema. A former athlete and basketball player, Ahmed's creative journey evolved from the court to filmmaking, where he combines personal experiences with cinematic expression. Alongside his artistic pursuits, he studies Computer Engineering, balancing his technical background with a passion for visual storytelling. Ahmed made his official cinematic debut with "Passing By" (2026), serving as the film's writer, artistic director, and performer. Based on his own personal story, "Passing By" transforms lived experiences into an intimate and emotionally honest narrative, with Ahmed portraying a character inspired by his own journey. His creative involvement shaped the film's emotional foundation, visual identity, and thematic direction, marking the beginning of his professional career in cinema. As a co-founder of Still Learning Films, Ahmed collaborates closely with director Mouhamed Hesham and the collective's creative team to develop independent films that prioritize authenticity, emotional depth, and thoughtful visual language.
