Heo Im (Kim Nam-Gil), Joseon'da akupunktur ve moksibüsyonun en iyisi olarak kabul edilen oryantal bir doktordur. Düşük statüsünden dolayı başarısı engellenir. Bir gün, Heo Im zamanda yolculuk yapar ve günümüz Seul'unde kendisini bulur. Choi Yeon Kyung (Kim Ah-Joong) adında bayan bir doktorla tanışır. Bu doktor sadece modern tıbba inanmaktadır.
