His Dark Materials, paralel evrenlerde hareket edebilen iki çocuğun hikayesini konu ediniyor. Dizi konu itibariyle paralel evrenlere geçiş yapabilen iki çocuğun maceralarını ekrana getirecek; roman serisinin ilk kitabından uyarlanan ilk sezonda, başka bir dünyadan gelen Lyra’yı izleyeceğiz. Arkadaşı kaçırıldıktan sonra onu bulmak için harekete geçen Lyra, şeytani bir komplonun ortasında kalır. Bu esnada karşılaştığı Will ile birlikte, sıra dışı varlıklara karşı mücadele edecekleri fantastik bir yolculuğa atılırlar.
