HBO, Seven Network Avustralya, Playtone ve DreamWorks yapımlı filmin, prömiyeri 14 Mart 2010 tarihinde yapılmıştır. 2001 yapımlı dizi-film olan Kardeşler Takımı benzeridir. Amerikan Deniz Piyade Kolordusu'nun Pasifik Cephesi'nde Japon İmparatorluk Deniz Kuvvetleri birliklerine karşı verdiği mücadeleyi konu almaktadır.
