После загадочного исчезновения родителей подросток Питер Паркер живёт с дядей Беном и тётей Мэй, пытаясь разобраться в тайнах своего прошлого. Всё меняется, когда укус генетически изменённого паука наделяет его невероятной силой, ловкостью и способностью лазать по стенам. Осваивая новые способности, Питер становится Человеком-пауком и вступает в противостояние с опасным Ящером — учёным Куртом Коннорсом, чьи эксперименты вышли из-под контроля. Одновременно ему приходится защищать близких, бороться с преступностью и понять, какой ценой достаётся настоящая ответственность.
