Le Cong Tuan Anh (February 2, 1967 – October 17, 1996, also called Lê Công) was a Vietnamese actor. Starting out in a theatre troupe, he later received offers from directors and dabbled in cinema with small supporting roles until his role as Quang in the 1995 box office hit "The Bitter Taste of Love" (Vị Đắng Tình Yêu) catapulted him into a national sensation. He was considered the most famous actor in 1990s Vietnamese cinema, and during his career amassed an impressive profile of over 60 films, stage productions, a Best Actor award at the 10th Vietnam Film Festival, a Golden Prize at the 2nd National Theatre Festival, and Favourite Artist by the public votes for three consecutive years. Le Cong Tuan Anh passed away at the age of 29 and the height of his career; the death was ruled a suicide. His funeral was attended by thousands of fans from across the country and heavily detailed by the press, making it one of the biggest events in modern Vietnamese history.
