Depois que a Terra é destruída por disputas religiosas e a raça humana beira a extinção, um arquiteto de androides ateu envia duas de suas criações, Mãe e Pai, para o planeta Kepler-22b com a intenção de iniciar uma nova colônia pacífica e sem deuses. Os androides tentam criar seus filhos humanos nesta misteriosa terra virgem, tarefa difícil e traiçoeira que é ameaçada pela chegada do Mitraico, ordem religiosa de humanos sobreviventes profundamente devotos.

This wasn't really what I was expecting. It just didn't feel like a Ridley Scott offering to me. The first season, the only one I managed to sit through, seemed very drawn out, a little confused and pretty much void of any real depth. Or maybe I'm just bitter because I wanted aliens.
