2015년 5월 USA 네트워크에서 방영을 시작한 해킹물 스릴러. 낮에는 사이버 보안 기술자, 밤에는 해커로 활동하는 프로그래머 엘리엇을 중심으로 이야기가 펼쳐진다. 아버지는 엘리엇이 어렸을 때 Evil Corp에서 일하며 얻게 된 백혈병으로 사망하고, 이로 인해 우울증과 마약중독, 대인관계 결핍 등 어려움을 겪고 있는 엘리엇의 나레이션, 즉 상상속의 친구에게 하는 독백을 주로 하여 스토리가 전개된다. 어느 날 자신이 몸담고 있는 회사를 와해시켜 달라는 지하 해커 조직 F 소사이어티의 제안을 받게 되면서 갈등을 겪게 되는데...
