리디아는 결혼 후 친정에 방문하고, 엘리자베스는 다아시가 그녀의 결혼식에 왔었다는 사실을 알게 된다. 그 후 엘리자베스는 다아시가 리디아를 찾아냈을뿐만 아니라 위컴이 결혼 하는 조건으로 그에게 엄청난 금액을 지불했다는 사실을 듣고는 충격에 빠진다. 리디아의 스캔들이 어느정도 잦아들 무렵, 빙리와 다아시가 무도회를 위해 다시 한번 롱본을 방문 하고 제인과 빙리는 마침내 만나게 된다. 한편 냉담한 다아시를 본 엘리자베스는 절대로 그와는 결혼 하지 않겠다고 결심 하게 되고 숙모로부터 그 소식을 전해 들은 다아시는 다시 한번 청혼 한다. 과연 엘리자베스는 그의 청혼을 받아 드릴 것인가...
