父親の都合で上海から台湾に戻った盛望（ション・ワン）は、転校先の学校で校内一の秀才・江添（ジアン・ティエン）の前の席になる。しかし江添は盛望に対し不機嫌な態度をとり、険悪な雰囲気になってしまう。さらに家に帰ると、父親の再婚相手が江添の母親であることが判明。２人は兄弟として同じ家で暮らすことに。正反対の性格の盛望と江添。最初こそ反発し合うも、新たな家庭と学校で日々を共に刻むうちに、２人は次第に心を通わせていく。
