Paul Leonard Newman (26 gennaio 1925 – 26 settembre 2008) è stato un attore, regista cinematografico, imprenditore, umanitario, pilota professionista, proprietario di team automobilistico e appassionato di corse automobilistiche statunitense. Ha vinto numerosi premi, tra cui un Oscar come miglior attore per la sua interpretazione nel film di Martin Scorsese del 1986 The Color of Money e altre otto nomination, tre Golden Globe, un BAFTA, un Screen Actors Guild Award, un Cannes Film Festival Award, un Emmy e numerosi premi onorari. Vinse anche diversi campionati nazionali come pilota nelle corse su strada del Sports Car Club of America, e le sue squadre conquistarono diversi campionati nelle corse a ruote scoperte IndyCar. Newman fu cofondatore di Newman's Own, un'azienda alimentare dalla quale Newman donava tutti gli utili e le royalties dopo tasse in beneficenza.
