Racconta la storia di un'aristocratica inglese, Lady Cornelia Locke e un ex scout di cavalleria Eli Whipp. I due si incontrano nel 1890 in America centrale per attraversare un territorio violento costruito sui sogni e sul sangue. Cornelia vuole vendicarsi dell'uomo che considera responsabile della morte del figlio e convince Eli Whipp a lasciarla viaggiare con lui.
