In una tragica notte, la vita del vicesceriffo della Contea di Los Angeles Martin Jones viene sconvolta ed egli è trascinato in un letale mondo sotterraneo di cartelli della droga, assassini della Yakuza e misteriosi giustizieri. Ben presto si ritrova perduto in una surreale odissea di omicidi, misticismo e vendetta, mentre i peccati del suo passato lo inseguono.
