Our Flag Means Death
La serie è basata sulla vita di Stede Bonnet. Nel 1717, il capitano Bonnet è un aristocratico che abbandona la sua vita agiata e la sua famiglia per diventare un pirata durante l'età d'oro della pirateria, nonostante non abbia alcuna predisposizione o conoscenza necessaria. I'm at a loss to understand how anyone could enjoy this? I mean, great idea but in every other sense I found it woke, a bit naff and frankly, as funny as a tax office audit. Makes me miss Black Adder.......
Clearly MovieGuys never watched this past the first episode. The first one sets it up, and simply isn't funny. I don't think it was meant to be at all. From episode 2-3 onwards the true story starts to unfold.
