Le monde de Cars prend son envol avec Planes. Dusty, un avion-épandeur avec des rêves plein la tête, a l'occasion de participer à la plus grande course d'avions. Il a un grand cœur, mais deux gros problèmes : il n'est pas construit pour la vitesse et il a le vertige. Son courage est mis à l'épreuve lorsque notre héros doit viser haut.
