En 1939, el profesor Paul Langford y su hija Catherine todavía están lidiando con los misterios de la antigua reliquia que descubrieron en el desierto egipcio hace más de diez años. Con la guerra que se avecina en Europa y los fondos agotándose, las respuestas no parecen llegar. Catherine debe usar todo su ingenio al embarcarse en una aventura hacia lo desconocido para rescatar a su padre, y salvar a la Tierra de una oscuridad inimaginable.
