Lupin III
La historia relata la vida de un ladrón internacional llamado Arsenio Lupin III junto a sus amigos, Daisuke Jigen (su mejor amigo), Fujiko Mine (la mujer fatal y el ocasional amor del protagonista) y Goemon Ishikawa XIII (un maestro de la espada, descendiente de Ishikawa Goemon, el legendario bandido japonés). Cada capítulo es una nueva misión para intentar robar algún objeto precioso y a menudo es perseguido por el inspector Koichi Zenigata, de la Interpol, que es descendiente de Zenigata Heiji. La misión de Zenigata durante toda su vida ha sido la de perseguir a Lupin a través del globo con la esperanza de capturarlo, aunque sus intentos siempre han fracasado.
