Biografie
Neil James Innes war ein englischer Schriftsteller, Komiker und Musiker. Bekannt wurde er zunächst als Mitglied der bahnbrechenden Comedy-Rockgruppe Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band und arbeitete später häufig mit der Monty-Python-Truppe an deren BBC-Fernsehserien und -Filmen zusammen. Er wird oft zusammen mit der Darstellerin Carol Cleveland als „siebtes Mitglied der Pythons“ bezeichnet. Gemeinsam mit Eric Idle, ebenfalls Mitglied der Monty Pythons, gründete er die Rutles, ein Parodie-/Pastiche-Projekt der Beatles, und schrieb die Songs der Band.
