Nachdem er das scheinbar charmante Leben eines Gentleman gegen das eines verwegenen Seeräubers eingetauscht hat, wird Stede Bonnet Kapitän des Piratenschiffs Revenge. Während er sich den Respekt seiner potenziell meuternden Mannschaft erkämpft, wendet sich Stedes Schicksal nach einem schicksalhaften Zusammentreffen mit dem berüchtigten Kapitän Blackbeard. I'm at a loss to understand how anyone could enjoy this? I mean, great idea but in every other sense I found it woke, a bit naff and frankly, as funny as a tax office audit. Makes me miss Black Adder.......
Clearly MovieGuys never watched this past the first episode. The first one sets it up, and simply isn't funny. I don't think it was meant to be at all. From episode 2-3 onwards the true story starts to unfold. Every character in this is well-written, well-played and absolutely hilarious, and the relationship between the two main characters is woven together in a really gentle way; absolutely noth…
